Meet the Maker
Hi, I'm Kelly
All my hats are one of a kind, hand-crafted with your style in mind.
I've been an artist my whole life — I studied art in high school, went on to train marine mammals and exotic cats, and after I beat breast cancer at 40, I flew to Italy to study mosaics. Art has always been how I find my way back to myself.
Hats came later. I took a course on painting hats with watered-down acrylics — those first watercolor hats — and something clicked. Out here in the high desert I head into my studio, spray a brim, and follow the color wherever it wants to go. Lately that means hand-dyeing ribbons with red chilies and pulling inspiration straight from Santa Fe.
Every hat is one of a kind, because that's the whole point. A painting needs a wall — a hat you get to wear. And as far as I'm concerned, you can never have too many.
